Re: aud recordings |
And for my part in promoting that, I apologize...I just can't help myself; if I weren't such a techno twit, I'd probably find another site, but I just can't find the time. But I just enjoy catching up with all the old farts hereabouts too much, and once in a while, repeating myself on a DEAD related post.

Re: aud recordings |
I hear ya Mr. Tell. Part of what makes a good forum is having people just enjoying chatting with other people about w.e. But when you're surrounded by people who havent a fucking clue about the dead all day, and then you come here to hopefully find some actual discussion going on to no avail, it can be a bit demoralizing. Especially as any good dead question typically gets a response or two while tomato soup gets, well you know.

Re: aud recordings |
That makes me realize, I don't think I've had a single conversation with someone about the DEAD off this site for--literally--years! Or, at least they've been one sided: "here, you have to take/listen to these CDs!" kind of thing...

"I'd probably find another site, but I just can't find the time."
It's called Chatzy and if more of you old forumites would join us this place would be used as prescribed.
SDH
Elbow
high flow
Whirlwinddreamer 65-95
Wharfrat
User Unknown
Wineland
Daliguana
Dire
Cliff
Arbuthnot
OneProWeirdo
WayneCS
Ned the Head
Ashes Rising
These folks have all found their way to the Chatzy site. Most have moved on because Groks have become a thing of the past. However, a few of us still hang there and it's a great way to stay connected with Forum friends without Facebooking-up the actual forum.

Ouch again...really racking them up today. Anyhow--I thought that was to discuss the music of the day or some such?

Re: aud recordings |
Sorry WT, no snark intended. I guess posts should be labeled "(non-snark)" because snarky is the hip way to be around here these days. Thus I can understand your reception of my post(down sdh, down boy!). I was simply jabbing in the old-fashioned forum kind of way. Remember...before folks here took everything so goddamn personally? Ah, the good ol' days.....maybe I'll put my teeth in and read some threads from days gone by.

Re: aud recordings |
No sweat, Flow...just didn't know if you were really sick and tired of all the nonDEAD posts, and lets face it, I do a few too many of those...to be honest though, even with the steady stream of newbies over the yrs, the Forum, it seems to me, would slow to a crawl if it were JUST DEAD related.
Recall how Dire told us how much things changed from fall of 06 through 07, when the "nonDEAD explosion" really took place?
So, even though it's out of place, and even I fought "it" initially, I now think it's largely what sets the place apart, in a good way, cause it keeps folks (old farts) from departing, if that makes sense.
Strangely, DHook is even more "nonDEAD" and yet it can't hold the interest of folks (sorry, Hookers), or at least not the lg group of folks here I call "friends" (yes, I am that selfish).
Like you, even if you are sick and tired of me; what else are friends for?
;)
